Day of the Young Child in South Lake Tahoe

Looking for a FREE family-friendly event this weekend? If you’re vacationing in the greater South Lake region, you won’t want to miss out on this fun and memorable day of kid-centered entertainment.

The South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center is hosting a free event in honor of the Day of the Young Child on Saturday, March 11th, 2017. Come participate in activities that will expand your child’s mind, develop their fine motor skills, and bring forth memories for the whole family.

The City is working with Choices for Children to provide a space for parents and kids to come together to get creative with paint, learn patterns with beading, work those hand muscles into some clay, dance around with bubbles, giggle endlessly at a puppet show, and even more.

Day of the Young Child is part of the nationwide Week of the Young Child by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to promote the importance of growth and development of children in their early years.

Location: South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center – 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Time: 10:ooam – 2:00pm, the puppet show is scheduled at 12:00pm

Cost: Free! No purchase necessary, payment of smiles welcome
