We’ve made it to July – can you believe it?!? This means it’s time to enjoy a South Lake Tahoe Fourth of July with family and friends. Luckily the South Shore has some amazing places to take in the fireworks show!
Fireworks start July 4, 2019 at 9:45 PM and they are visible from all over town. Here are a few of the best spots to take in the show:
On the lake! The M.S. Dixie II: South Shore’s Mississippi paddle wheeler offers a unique opportunity to view the light show from the water. Featuring live entertainment and fantastic views of the evening’s display.
Nevada Beach: Located about two miles east of the Nevada casinos on Elk Point Road, Nevada Beach is the ideal setting for a family barbecue at the beach. A wide, sandy shoreline leads down to the sapphire waters of Lake Tahoe. Picnic tables dot the beach. The view across the lake to the West Shore and Desolation Wilderness is unsurpassed. And the view of the fireworks display is one of the best in town.
Lakeview Commons/El Dorado Beach: The Lakeview Commons right in the heart of South Lake Tahoe is only of the most popular spots to watch the firework display. Get there early because the commons are sure to fill up fast. This is located right on the corner of Hwy 50 and Lakeview Avenue.
Lakeside Beach: You can watch the fireworks at one of the finest beaches on the South Shore. Another popular spot for visitors and locals alike.
