Tahoe Brewfest 2018 in South Lake

Tahoe has been brewing up a craft beer scene for several years, and now all the local breweries are ready to make their 2nd annual appearance at the Tahoe Brewfest 2018. So get ready to pour your beer-loving hearts out and fill your pints up for the second year in a row!

The event has changed locations and picked up a few new participants this time around. Below is everything you need to know in order to enjoy the event to the fullest this time around.

Event Details 

What: Beer galore! And some other things too. While this event is ideal for craft beer enthusiasts who want to taste-test all day with 35 breweries from South Lake Tahoe all the way down to San Diego represented, there will also be craft rootbeer, cornhole, a jumbo Jenga tournament, and face painting for the kiddos. There will be food vendors, merchandise to shop, and music playing throughout as well.

Where: Heavenly California Base Lodge Upper Parking Lot at 3860 Saddle Rd. in South Lake Tahoe. Find directions here.

When: Saturday, June 2nd from 12:00pm – 4:00pm.

Cost: A general admission ticket of $35 per person ages 21+ will earn you unlimited 5oz pours in your souvenir sample-size glass from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. A $50 VIP ticket will award you unlimited pours from 12:00pm – 4:00pm in a commemorative stainless steel glass. Guests who are age 5 and under can enter for free, ages 6-20 cost $10. Mother’s Day Brunches at Edgewood Tahoe (That’s right–brunchES!)

Details: Take your pick of a Champagne Brunch Buffet in the Clubhouse, or an à la carte option at the Bistro inside the Lodge. The champagne brunch has stations of food to choose from, including a kids’ station. The Brunch at the Bistro has a pre-set menu with options to choose from, specially selected for the day with mothers in mind.

Where: Both option located inside at Edgewood Tahoe

When: The Champagne Brunch Buffet is from 9:30am – 2:00pm, while the Mother’s Day Brunch at the Bistro is from 7:00am – 3:00pm. Both held on Sunday, May 13th.

Cost: The Champagne Brunch is $80 for adults and $35 for youth ages 4 -10 (tax and gratuity not included). The Brunch at the Bistro cost will vary dependent upon selected items.

Mother’s Day Brunch at Riva Grill

Details: Bring an appetite as you are offered an array of foods at the buffet including your choice of prime rib, oven roasted turkey, or a seafood selection of king crab legs, shrimp cocktail, clams, or muscles at the carving station. Move on to the omelet station, choice of waffles or french toast, a variety of salads, and so much more deliciousness. All with views of the lake and a beach and pier to walk off your full belly afterward.

Where: Riva Grill on the Lake

When: Sunday, May 13th, open from 10:00am – 3:00pm

Cost: $55 for adults without champagne option, $70 for champagne brunch, $25 for children ages 10 and under

15th Annual South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center’s Cinco de Mayo Fundraiser

• When: Friday, May 4th from 5:00pm – 10:00pm
• Where: Heavenly California Lodge 
• What: Live music, dancing, raffle, silent auction, and a delicious dinner of Mexican food all in the name of fundraising money for the South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center. The center’s mission is to “enable individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency and economic stability, to develop resilience in both parents and children, and to allow families to become a contributing part of the community.” So do a little community good while enjoying good times!
• Cost: $25 for adults if you purchase ahead of time at the Family Resource Center, or $30 at the door. $10 for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and under are free.

Cinco De Mayo Comedy with Three Latinas and a Navé

• When: Saturday, May 5 at 8:30pm
• Where: Vinyl inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
• What: A night of comedy with comedians Shayle Rivera, Monique Marvez, Jade Esteban Estarade, and Howie Nave.
