What: Heavenly Holidays – New Year’s Eve Celebration

Where: Heavenly Village

Details: This event has something for everyone. Come peruse the village from 6:00-9:30pm and experience live music, watch ice sculpting, see the fire dancers, get your dance on, enjoy face painting or the photobooth, and celebrate the New Year with the gondola ball drop and fireworks show.

7:00pm – live concert in the village

Where: The Loft in Heavenly Village

Details: The Loft Lounge is having a classic & classy NYE party. There will be music, dancing, celebratory noise makers, shimmering decorations, an array of hors d’oeuvres, firework viewing from the deck, and a champagne toast at midnight.

Doors open at 8:00pm, celebration ends at 2:00am
Tickets cost $100 – $1400 depending on the evening experience you’d like to have (tickets can be purchased here)

What: M.S. Dixie II New Year’s Eve Cruise 2016 – a boat cruise around Zephyr Cove Marina

Where: Zephyr Cove Marina

Details: Looking for a less traditional way to ring in the New Year? Try a cruise around Zephyr Cove aboard the M.S. Dixie II ship. The cruise will include live music, dancing, traditional NYE celebratory items, and a specially planned dinner featuring an entree of lobster tail and smoked beef tenderloin.

Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Christmas Cheer: Finding a Tree & Rerouting Santa

Your bags are all packed, the gingerbread cookies are in tow, the stockings are ready to be hung, everyone is prepared for their South Lake Tahoe Christmas vacation — but what about the tree? And how will Santa know where to find us?? No need to fear, we can help with all holiday cheer!

Where to find Christmas trees in South Lake Tahoe:

The tree lot at Lakeview Commons across from El Dorado Beach

After you get your tree, trim it properly, and decorate it with ornaments, the only thing left to do is wait for the skirt underneath to be adorned with presents delivered by Santa Claus. Are your little ones concerned Santa & his reindeer won’t know where to find them since Christmas is going to be spent in a vacation home this year? Keep Tahoe Blue Presents: Winter Wonderland

What better way to ring in the holiday cheer than to enjoy a family-friendly, free event that’s environmentally conscious? The Keep Tahoe Blue League to Save Lake Tahoe is putting on a Winter Wonderland holiday open house to fundraise for their cause of preservation — and trust us, the fun will also be raised!

When: Thursday, December 15th from 5:30-8:30pm

Where: The League to Save Tahoe @ 2608 Lake Tahoe Boulevard

What to expect: Partake in munching on light appetizers, enjoy toasty drinks for adults & kids, tap your toes to the music, and get ready to shop for discounted gifts which feature Keep Tahoe Blue merchandise.

What else to bring: a jar, cup, or mug to decorate and turn into a candle during the activity portion of the night!
