South Lake Tahoe has been the setting for many romantic marriage proposals over the years, and this holiday season was no exception. Places & Proposals

The place: Our Lakeland Village #109 Honeymoon Studio is nestled in the lodge of Lakeland Village, where you can walk to a hot tub in your bath robes, sit on the private deck and overlook the snowy village, or curl up by the stone-set fireplace and share a glass of champagne on the king-sized bed. honeymoon-studio-1The proposal: From the home you can stroll down the Lakeland Village pier, stand over the deep blue waters of Lake Tahoe, gaze off at the mountains surrounding you and into one another’s eyes, and present the question of a lifetime.

The place: Craig’s Cozy Cabin is in one of the most central locations of South Lake Tahoe. This 2 bedroom home is a 10 minute drive to Heavenly Village and the gondola to Heavenly Ski Resort, a 15 minute drive to Camp Richardson, walking distance to local eats & bars, and an even shorter walking distance to the lake itself. At the home you’ll find the comforts of a toasty fire, the wooded charm of a classic Tahoe cabin, a front porch to enjoy morning coffee, and a back deck to sip evening cocktails.craigs-cozy-cabinThe proposal: The rustic feel of the cabin surrounded by tall pines will urge you and your loved one to find an outdoor adventure. From the home you can drive less than 30 minutes to Cave Rock, Echo Lake, Emerald Bay, or Angora Lakes and find the ideal place to be on bended knee in front of your future spouse. After your adventure-filled day, you can take the celebration back to Craig’s Cozy Cabin and jump in your own private hot tub to soak in the magic of the moment.

After the “YES!” and before “I do”

Tahoe is not only a great location for the proposal, it’s also an incredible place to have the wedding itself or a honeymoon afterward. If you have a wedding planned in the greater Tahoe area, we have plenty of homes to house your relatives and guests while they anticipate the day.*

We manage 7 homes in Lakeland Village, and Lakeland Village has wedding packages which allow you to have your special day right there on the property.

Our Lakeland Village homes range from the 1 bedroom studio up to a 4 bedroom townhouse with a loft.

If you are completely enamored with the beautiful waters of Lake Tahoe, you can also have a wedding on a cruise ship while coasting over the deep blue. Check out Tahoe Bleu Wave for more information on a water-top wedding cruise.

To keep the waterway theme going, your guests can stay in one of our 12 Tahoe Keys homes. From a waterfront home with 5 bedrooms, to a 3 bedroom condo, we have something that will fit each group of guests within the convenience of The Keys.
