Keep Tahoe Blue Beach Cleanup Success!

Fireworks were launched, picnics were had, sparklers were ignited, and fun was shared all throughout South Lake Tahoe on the 4th of July. This left our beaches quite messy after the celebration–but no fear, Keep Tahoe Blue was here!

All of us here at RnR Vacation Rentals had the best time partnering with Keep Tahoe Blue League to Save Lake Tahoe during their annual 5th of July beach cleanups.

Throughout the morning and along six different beaches, there was a total of:

• 320 volunteers out there with trash bags and gloved-hands
• 1,676 pounds of trash collected and sorted
• 5,242 cigarette butts removed from the depths of the sand
• 6,357 pieces of plastic found and sent to be recycled

Join RnR Vacation Rentals for the 5th of July Beach Cleanup

Come join RnR Vacation Rentals at Kiva Beach as we partner with Keep Tahoe Blue League to Save Lake Tahoe in their annual Keep Tahoe Red, White and Blue Beach Cleanup event.

The shores of Lake Tahoe can get pretty messy after Independence Day, so come help us re-beautify the beaches in an effort to preserve the region and maintain water clarity.

Where: Kiva Beach picnic area next to the Tallac Historic Site

Directions: From Emerald Bay Road, make a right into the Tallac Historic Site, veer right at the fork, and park in the Historic Site parking lot

When: 8:30am – 12:00pm

What else: There will be a raffle with great prizes at 11:45am for all cleanup volunteers, plus some free goodies for early birds

What to bring: A reusable water bottle, sunscreen and/or a hat, gloves if you have them, and a smile! (All cleanup supplies will be provided)
